The following are instructions on how to activate the licenses for an Aventail appliance and optional services that you are evaluating or have bought. These steps assume that your appliance is already registered; registration is done on the My Products page.
To activate the licenses for your appliance, follow these steps:
Click My Products in the left navigation menu, and then click the serial number for the appliance you are evaluating.
In the Support Services list, next to Dynamic Support 24x7, click Enter key.
Enter the supplied 8-character Activation Key and click Submit to activate the Service.
On the Service Management page, click the link for downloading your license file.
Save the license file (.xml) to your computer. After you get your appliance up and running you must import this license file using the Aventail Management Console (for instructions on how to do this, see the online help for AMC).

To activate the licenses for an appliance you have purchased, follow these steps:
Click My Products in the left navigation menu, and then click the serial number for your appliance.
For each service you have bought, click Enter key, enter its 8-character Activation Key, and then click Submit to activate it.
On the Service Management page, click the link for downloading your license file.
Save the license file (.xml) to your computer. After you get your appliance up and running you must import this license file using the Aventail Management Console (for instructions on how to do this, see the online help for AMC).
Note: Do not activate a Spike License until you are ready to start using it. The countdown for the number of days is valid begins when it is activated.
