You can activate security services and upgrades directly from the SonicWall management interface, provided you have an activation key. If you do not have an activation key, you must purchase the security service or upgrade from a SonicWall reseller or from your MySonicWall.com account.
To access MySonicWall.com registration and licensing, your SonicWall appliance must be running firmware v6.5.0.0 or later, or SonicOS v1.0.0.0 or later.
If your SonicWall appliance is running firmware 6.5.0.0 or later, you can access the Manage Services Online page from the General>Security Services page. The General>Security Services page displays the Security Services Summary table. This table resides in the SonicWall management interface but is synchronized with your mySonicWall.com account. The Synchronize button in the Security Services Settings section allows you to update the Security Services Summary table with any changes to your Security Services licensing at mySonicWall.com.
Any licenses activated at MySonicWall.com appear in the SonicWall management interface within 24 hours. To update the local licensing information immediately, click Synchronize.
- Click the SonicWall Security Service Subscription link in the Security Activation section of the Security Services page.
- In the MySonicWall.com Login page, type your MySonicWall.com username and password in the User Name and Password fields, then click Submit.
- The Manage Services Online page is displayed. To activate, upgrade, or renew a service from the Manage Services Online page, you must have an Activation Key. Clicking on a link in the Manage Services Online table, such as Activate or Upgrade in the Manage Service column, displays the Activation page for entering in the Activation or License Key for the product.
- Clicking the MySonicWall.com link at the top right of the Manage Service Online page accesses the MySonicWall.com site in your Web browser. You can purchase and activate SonicWall Security Services from your mySonicWall.com account.
- Clicking Security Services Summary logs out of the Manage Services Online page and returns your to the Security Services page.
You can also activate specific SonicWall Security Services from within the SonicWall management interface:
- SonicWall ViewPoint - Log>ViewPoint
- SonicWall Content Filtering Service - Filter>CFS
- SonicWall Network Anti-Virus - Anti-Virus>Summary

If your SonicWall is running SonicOS 1.0.0.0 and later, you can access the Manage Services Online page from the System>Licenses page. The Security Services>Summary page displays the Security Services Summary table. This table resides in the SonicOS but is synchronized with your mySonicWall.com account. The Synchronize button in the Security Services Settings section allows you to update the Security Services Summary table with any changes to your Security Services licensing at mySonicWall.com.
- Click the click here link in the Manage Security Services Online section to display the MySonicWall.com login page
- In the MySonicWall.com login page, type your MySonicWall.com username and password in the User Name and Password fields, then click Submit
- The Manage Services Online page is displayed. To activate, upgrade, or renew a service from the Manage Services Online table, you must have an activation or license key. Click a link in the Manage Services Online table to display the activation page for entering an activation or license key for the product.
Links in the Security Services>Content Filter, Security Services>Anti-Virus, and Security Services>E-Mail Filter, and Log>ViewPoint also display the mySonicWall.com Login page.
